it's a lazy saturday afternoon.. just had lunch.. cooked fried bee hoon for everyone today.. did housework in the morning.. cleaned the kitchen but accidentally cut my finger while washing the knive.. ha.. i bursted the wound just now and it started to bleed abit.. hee.. oh well..
though i feel lazy, i'm studying.. ha.. listening to some songs i like.. ha..
went to eat thai food on thurs at newtown.. had my vaccination done at main campus.. the injection made my arm feel sore.. ha.. had a skin prick test done for TB check and blood test done.. had donut king for snack.. (i still very much prefer dunkin donut, miss taiwan times). anyway after that went to newtown for dinner.. the thai food is pretty nice.. hee.. had nice ice cream from one of the ice cream parlors too.. saw a crumpler shop and it got me all excited cox can design ur own bag.. exciting.. shall do one.. ha.. but it's exp.. hmmm... wad design should i get.. hmmm...
yesterdae had dinner at strathfield with rina, bixia, wanying, cass, sarah and boh wee... hee.. when i uploaded the photos to my com then will post it here.. anyway.. the korean food was nice.. was so full after that too.. ha.. and it was the first time i felt warm in a restaurant.. hee..

i've realised that time and time again, i should just let go of somethings, not be bothered or affected by things that are not within my control. There are times when i dont even know wad is affecting me. In times like this, everything seem to not go right. I wish I had a wand then to control everything before me. But that's the way of life, I dont have the power to control. Up till now, I just get upset at myself for not being able to do it.
I tried finding a reason for all these when i was talking to my kor yesterdae. But my reason was not good enough. He managed to see through it all. How can he tell? I always wonder. That's the part that amazes me i suppose, he's starting to feel like my blood related kor. Guess by talking to him yesterdae, i managed to feel alot better now. Thanks alot! he's going overseas to study too but to england.. hee.. i'm aiming to go there for holidays next yr..
Anyway, my parents are on their way back to Singapore already.. When they were here, they bought me lots of stuff. I've got a new trench coat, daily supplies and clothes. They got me a lamb and fleece sweater from NZ. cool.. now the fridge has rocky road.. love that stuff.. hee.. i got apricots and baby figs too.. yummy.. my mom tried persuading me to go for holiday at the end of the yr so she can get someone to look after the house during renovation.. hmm.. should i? but i thinking of going NZ (christchurch, queenstown) to look around. The way my parents describe about that place.. seems quite fun.. i'll probably got attachment during hols too.. hmm.. still thinking.. oh ya.. we bought 4 small painting for the house, they got our names on it.. cool.. hopefully i can get the design i want for the house..
i'm so glad to be living with my bunch of housemates.. they make my life much more fun.. all that laughter and jokes brightens up my day.. and their great cooking too.. it really feels like a family here..

i've moved out of my home.. ha.. temporarily for a week to stay with my parents in their hotel.. haha.. and the bed here is twice as big as my bed back in auburn.. haha.. and the heater is hotter.. haha.. oh well.. dad's paying for my internet usage at the hotel so that i can install my anti-virus.. haha.. so just make use of internet to blog...
ok.. yesterdae.. packed my bag for 1 week last min.. took a train down to the airport to meet my parents.. on arrival, i realised that their flight is delayed.. so i stared into space for some time before realising that the airport has a tv boardcasting the olympics.. haha.. so i shifted my butt slowly towards the tv.. i'm seriously hooked by olympics now.. rina asked why i didnt scream or exclaimed when michael phelps came on tv just now (cox my parents were around) haha.. i get this kind of excitement once every 4 yrs.. haha.. oh well.. back to my airport story.. i waited for them till abt 45 mins after their plane landed before they came out.. some how their luggage got checked.. cox of my textbook.. haha.. anyway we took an airport shuttle to their hotel in Central.. they or we are staying at Mercure now.. it's so much better than the hotel we previously stay when we came over in june.. there is an indoor pool and gym here too.. haha.. shall visit it some day.. anyway.. we reached the hotel abt 5 plus.. we settled down and then went to chinatown for dinner.. it's abt 15 mins walk away.. which is good.. haha.. then we went back and i watched olympics again.. my parents slept quite early.. haha..
anyway.. todae i went to sch.. had morning classes.. then went back to auburn home.. my parents came over in the evening to bring the stuff they brought for me and treated my housemates to dinner.. hee..
tmr going fish market.. dad bought wine and tobasco sauce.. haha.. we are well-prepared this time.. hehe..anyway.. probably going DFO tmr.. yippee.. shopping... haha.. but i got lots of work to do.. oh well...

almost fell sick last night.. felt kinda full after dinner.. the kind of full that make u wanna puke so as to feel better. so when i shower, i tried to puke.. but nothing came out.. somehow the stomach was empty, i have pretty high metabolism rate.. that was 2 hours after dinner.. after that i tried puking again, but it didnt work.. before i knew it, i had diarrhea.. k think this post is kinda gross.. but anyway.. think my dinner came out after that.. wanted to watch olympics after that but i started feeling feverish so i had no choice but to listen to my kor and go to bed immediately..
the hot pack my bro brought for me is not bad.. ha.. it's still hot now.. anyway.. got up this morning feeling better.. but after the whole episode last nite, my stomach felt raw... ate a piece of bread and i thought i had enough.. will start simple.. small many meals a day.. ;)

well.. 9 aug 08.. first time i spent national day overseas.. after 22 years.. well.. we had a party.. lumps made chicken rice, bixia fried hokkien mee, wanying baked apple crumble, sarah made garlic bread, boh wee fried fish.. hee.. good spread of food.. nice..
after eating, we tune in to the parade live thru webcast.. haha.. the eleven of us crowd round 2 computers.. kinda nice .. when things get boring, we got the olympics to watch too.. haha.. then they all stayed over.. so fun...
yesterdae.. i went on the sydney harbour bridge.. TO CLIMB!! went during the twilight timing.. it was super COOL! it was about 3 and half hours in total.. we were given suits to wear and all the necessary stuff.. like some astronaut.. ha.. fully geared.. my group of ppl came from aust, britain and american.. super cool.. some were celebrating their birthday.. too bad cant bring my cam up to take photos.. oh well.. it was a great experience and definitely worth going though it's abit pricy.. oh well.. our guide, nathan, was very good (he's kinda cute too)haha.. the staff there were quite friendly.. the view up there is great.. and can see the sun setting and stuff.. the wind was so strong.. can blow ppl away lor.. super cold too..but it's worth going.. so fun.. the lady walking behind me was so funny.. haha.. wish i could go up again.. maybe next time..

ok.. i was initially very excited about NDP.. cox we gonna have a gathering at our place.. wanying, sarah, cass and elaine (the other ots) are coming over, together with chunyi's bro, bowie, my bro and his gf.. so exciting rite.. too bad my sch doesnt have a singapore student society or wad not.. cant find any singaporean gathering in sydney online.. so.. we gotta organise one for ourselves.. ha.. unsw got a singapore student association.. so good.. oh well.. we gonna eat.. lumps preparing chicken rice, bixia preparing hokkien noodles, wanying preparing apple crumble. we getting cake from a turkish delights store.. the cakes look super good.

how come i am blogging at such early hours in the morning? not because there are more internet usage at this time of the day but cause i just submitted my online assignment and i am still awake.. still in the mood to use com after the whole day of staring at it and feeling frustrated over a slow computer.. anyway i got inspire to post now after reading mr lim's blog which tell his life in american.. he's on his way back to singapore now, just chatted with him in the afternoon.. so fast one yr has passed for him.. well mine will be too.. ha..
anyway life without internet for one month is really an experience.. in singapore i can choose not to use internet or computer for 1 week during the break that i had but when i arrive here in early july, i didnt have a choice.. we had the connection signed up like on the first week we arrived but there were many delays due to the service here.. dun wanna talk abt it.. but the impt thing is to drive them nuts..
well.. for this month without internet, i managed to survive.. communicated with my parents and friends through sms, calls or writing letters.. i love snail mail.. other than that.. the entertainment we have is TV, DVD player or cooking.. ha.. well i can cook edible stuff for those who wanna know.. travelled to many places around sydney cox we arrived 2 weeks before sch started.. i live pretty near the supermarket.. there's chinese grocery store nearby too.. so kinda convenient.. ok.. below are the pictures.. and life of my first month in sydney..

this is our first night. slept in sleeping bags. luckily uncle paul brought the sofa bed over that nite.. the gals got comfy mattress.. hee
look at the amount of stuff we brought over.. haha.. everyone had at least 4 baggages
ok.. 9th july.. we went to the property agent's place in the city.. we got a group shot in the lift.. ha
then we went to the darlington campus of uni of syd (our sch) but this is not our campus
we went over to darling harbour after that..
11th july.. we went to sydney olympic park for hillsong concert.. me and cass in front of a life size chess set
people here enjoy the sun.. they love to lie on the grass.. well on cold days, the sun makes a lot of difference!

when rina's mom and aunt came over, we went out.. that nite we went to uncle's paul place for dinner.. and this is mitch.. a dog that is so cute.. love to play with him.. step on his foot once cox he keeps following so closely.. ha..
well dinner was STEAMBOAT.. and it's really nice on a cold winter day.. then we had a traditional aussie dessert.. nice..
well.. in attempting to hang the first batch of laundry out to dry on the thick string that i brought from spore, the hooks gave way and our clothes landed on the balcony floor.. on a cold winter nite, rina and my hands were freezing cold.. we had to pick up all the clothes and rush back in to think of a solution.. well, we used the sofa bed frame in the end.. ha.. innovative..
13th july we went to The rocks.. the buildings were cool..
uncle paul decided to stuff himself inside so i couldnt resist but took a shot of it.. hilarious..

then we walked over to the sydney opera house.. that's me.. then we went to the botanical gardens and sat on the grass.. cool experience..
the 4 of us went home for dinner cox we needed to fix some stuff.. so we had aglio olio with bacon for dinner.. and we had red wine.. damn class.. haha..
next day, we went manly beach.. cause our travel pass included rides on ferries.. hee..it wasnt so cold that day.. see how we can take our jackets off..

on 18th july we went to canberra.. capital of australia! i went there.. haha
above used to be a lake.. but the water disappeared...

flemington market is known for it's paddy's market, wholesale for fruits and vegetables and second hand stuff on sat.. being the thrifty ppl, we couldn't help but buy the cheap fruits and veg back.. we got 15kg pears for $5.. ha.. the only downside, we had to carry it back.. 3 gals.. no joke.. my hands almost gave up..

oh.. went to sch for orientation on 21st july.. got our student passes and stuff.. but after that we didnt went back cox orientation was on how to write a report or lib tours.. erm.. orientation?..where's the fun..went to watch The Dark Knight on a tues (it was cheaper)ha.. exciting though i fell asleep in the beginning.. just like the other movie..
on 23rd july, we went to bondi beach.. it's more grand, waves are bigger than manly beach.. as it was cloudy and raining that day, not much ppl there.. but when the sun came out after that, we saw a guy ran out from one of the apartments carrying his surf boards, without shoes also towards the beach..

24th july.. we went to chinatown for KTV.. here is my fren singing.. ha.. it was $10 for 7 hours.. super good.. haha.. we really sing till we were tired.. ha..

well.. in attempting to hang the first batch of laundry out to dry on the thick string that i brought from spore, the hooks gave way and our clothes landed on the balcony floor.. on a cold winter nite, rina and my hands were freezing cold.. we had to pick up all the clothes and rush back in to think of a solution.. well, we used the sofa bed frame in the end.. ha.. innovative..
13th july we went to The rocks.. the buildings were cool..
uncle paul decided to stuff himself inside so i couldnt resist but took a shot of it.. hilarious..

then we walked over to the sydney opera house.. that's me.. then we went to the botanical gardens and sat on the grass.. cool experience..
the 4 of us went home for dinner cox we needed to fix some stuff.. so we had aglio olio with bacon for dinner.. and we had red wine.. damn class.. haha..
next day, we went manly beach.. cause our travel pass included rides on ferries.. hee..it wasnt so cold that day.. see how we can take our jackets off..

the next day went to blue mountain.. why is it blue? go find out urself.. i wanna go back there again.. wanna stay longer and look at the stuff..
went to some lime stone cave.. this is the toilet.. behind those rock formation.. ha.. nice..
on 18th july we went to canberra.. capital of australia! i went there.. haha
above used to be a lake.. but the water disappeared...

flemington market is known for it's paddy's market, wholesale for fruits and vegetables and second hand stuff on sat.. being the thrifty ppl, we couldn't help but buy the cheap fruits and veg back.. we got 15kg pears for $5.. ha.. the only downside, we had to carry it back.. 3 gals.. no joke.. my hands almost gave up..

oh.. went to sch for orientation on 21st july.. got our student passes and stuff.. but after that we didnt went back cox orientation was on how to write a report or lib tours.. erm.. orientation?..where's the fun..went to watch The Dark Knight on a tues (it was cheaper)ha.. exciting though i fell asleep in the beginning.. just like the other movie..
on 23rd july, we went to bondi beach.. it's more grand, waves are bigger than manly beach.. as it was cloudy and raining that day, not much ppl there.. but when the sun came out after that, we saw a guy ran out from one of the apartments carrying his surf boards, without shoes also towards the beach..

24th july.. we went to chinatown for KTV.. here is my fren singing.. ha.. it was $10 for 7 hours.. super good.. haha.. we really sing till we were tired.. ha..

last saturday, we met up with our other ot friends to have dim sum brunch at cabramatta.. it was like little vietnam .. anyway dim sum was great.. love the food..
guess wad i found.. a singapore plaza in cabramatta.. but there was nothing singapore about it..
