woo hoo.. last day of school...
let's see where i should start...
hmmm.. I want 林俊杰's new album!!! haha.. ok cause i just read his blog and the cover looks cool.. arty... ok it sounds so wrong on why i wan his album.. ok.. but i like his songs too.. haha.. haven got any new songs.. boo hoo.. and with the list of old songs.. think i gonna have an ever growing list.. so if u guys have any.. tell me k.. haha..
next is about my attachment.. so happy.. confirm where i'll be going.. confirm my accommodation place (though it sounds kinda weird cox i have no idea how it looks like or who's that person i'm renting from but she sounds nice! ha).. got my supervisor contact (tried calling him but he's out on home assessments; hope i can see one too!).. gonna book my flight there and train tickets back later.. so exciting for a place with limited info on the internet and not very good public transport.. haha.. anyway.. no internet and land line for 3 weeks (cox my accommodation doesnt have) .. hopefully can access external email at the hospital..
ok last day of school today before study vacations and then EXAMS.. 3 papers this sem.. ending on 20 nov.. then we have a conference to present a project done in one of our modules on 21 nov.. exciting.. the project my group did was a resource kit for transition back to school for children with liver disorders.. it's a guide for parents, teachers and an activity book for the child.. this kit is done collaboratively with a singapore organisation.. hope it will be useful in singapore.. cant wait to see it when i go back to spore..

i realise i could share more about him with you now.. it's not as difficult as before.. probably the time has let me see things differently.. maybe my time here has given me a chance to reflect better.. maybe things happen because they do.. maybe i haven seen what i should see.. but will i realise in time? that feeling still lingers around.. it's somewhere inside me.. slowly being kept away.. i was blessed before and thankful for it all.. and when i do get blessed the next time round, it'll be something i ever wish for..

in a dilemma now... cause i received news on where i'll be going for placement.. which is great! going to port macquarie which is north coast of NSW, away from sydney.. first, i need to book my transport over there-- should i choose to fly or take the train... train take hours.. considering flying there and then taking a train back...
secondly, the accommodation was initially suppose to be the nursing quarters at the hospital but today the liaison officer told me that the nursing quarters is no longer an option so i have to find my own.. it was good that they had a list of accommodations that i could choose.. but i can only find 2 on the internet.. the rest are like names.. and there isnt anything listed except for the cost and telephone number.. guess i'll have to call them up one by one.. sad..

we had a surprise tea party for rina today.. i can say it's successful cox the girl herself didnt realise anything fishy at all.. well done ppl! haha.. anyway.. we had it planned (bixia started) it some weeks back.. hee.. we got food that rina likes.. from gua zi to herbal chicken soup.. anyway, think it quite a lot of food.. ok let's list: dou sa bao, herbal chicken soup, bo bo cha cha, longan & jackfruit with coke, gua zi, durian ice cream, doritos, those small milk biscuit that melts in the mouth, & blue berry danish as the cake.. haha.. did i miss anything? hmm.. i cooked the bo bo cha cha.. ha.. and realise it's quite easy.. another recipe that i can use for my christmas parties.. haha..
anyway all the preparation started yesterdae.. bixia and i went to buy the stuff we need when rina went for a church event.. ha.. we hid the stuff in the freezer by wrapping in newspaper and hid the rest of the stuff in my room.. haha.. so once rina left this morning for church, we started preparation. wan ying came over to help too.. it was a mad rush to cook my bo bo cha cha cox we only have one pot and the chicken soup needs 3 hrs to cook and we only had like 3 hrs in total to cook everything.. bixia went to meet rina and the others after their church for lunch and to stall time.. haha.. in the end we had more than enough time.. wan ying and i were almost bored to death.. haha..
in the end it was great fun.. we manage to surprise rina :)

probably somewhere on this world, someone is celebrating their birthday, getting married, or giving birth to a new life.. for me, this date is one i'll probably remember always.. the day where my grandpa passed on.. it's been 1 year.. has time flown by.. probably.. 1 yr ago.. was doing my fyp, struggling with a couple of family issues, struggling with myself.. at that point in time i wanted so much to let myself go.. i could see, my grandpa was the one holding my family together.. without him, i wasnt sure where life would be..
when he did leave this world, i was glad that he was no longer going to suffer.. dealing with this loss is just another part of my life.. but having to deal with this emotion together with the many others wasnt exactly what i had hoped for.. esp for last yr.. maybe the family isnt how i had hoped it will be.. maybe it will never will be like how it used to be.. i miss them a lot.. why did she do what she did?.. i'm just glad i still have some of them..

internet speed is really slow now cause we used up all that we have for daytime.. so i watched videos that i had on my com.. watched my 21st bdae video that minli made for me.. then a couple of other videos i made over the years.. for my 19th bdae.. for my grandpa's 90th bdae and a video for the christmas party i had last yr... memories start floating up.. i miss the people back home..

rina, bixia, wan ying, sarah and i went DFO today.. we were there from 10 plus till 4pm.. haha.. girls can really shop.. my shoulders ache now.. oh well it has been aching quite abit recently.. i shopped quite abit.. now i wonder if i should still go ahead with my online shopping plans.. argh... haha.. retail therapy helps take the stress off work abit.. shiok.. i got 2 pants and a shirt for clinicals.. 3 tank tops and a book.. oh well.. and i got a bag from online yesterdae cox minli wanted to get it too.. sometimes i wonder if i'm an impulsive buyer.. haha.. should i get the 4 clothing from online... hmmm...
think i'm going to burst from the food i ate during dinner.. wad if my parents cant recognise me when i go back next yr.. oh my..

it's only wednesday but it feels as if i have gone through 5 days of work.. what's with this week?!? things doesnt seem to fall into place.. my package from my parents didnt get delivered and the company is so poor in service.. kinda angry speaking to them.. heh.. no one online so went on skype to complain to my mom.. if they dont deliver the package tmr.. i'll get my mom to complain!! angry.. dont they understand the buzzer is spoil and there will be no way for the delivery man to contact the apartment if he comes so that's why he must call me.. if not he cant deliver the package ma.. the person dont get it leh.. she say she cant guarantee the man will call me if he reaches here.. argh.. i hope he calls.. i dont want to travel to their office..
i am so argh.. yesterdae also.. the printer drove me nuts.. if it was a person i would have spank it real hard.. angry.. ok time to calm down.. are the unis in spore having exams or something.. how come i dont see my best friends online.. oh well.. hope they are doing fine.. cant chat with kor also cox of the time difference.. maybe if i wan to there'll be people to chat with.. but it'll be so random.. argh.. i dont want to feel home sick.. ok time to think of something else..

seriously, one black sheep can spoil the image of everything.. i really dun wan to generalise.. maybe it's just my luck to end up doing project with this aussie guy.. seriously.. he doesnt have a sense of urgency.. tmr is presentation but he hasnt came up with the slides at all when he promised to do it by yesterdae.. totally sian diao.. somehow.. i expected it.. saw it coming some how.. did most of the report myself though i didnt even see the workplace.. i was nervous last night.. but after meeting him today.. i totally give up hope.. i did wad i could already.. he told me when we met just now that he is a last min person.. thanks ar.. really last min then tell me ur working style.. though i am last min person also but not so last min la.. now i'm in a total state of calmness.. probably too numbed to feel anything else.. get angry also waste my own energy.. shall just focus and do other assignments.. i really hope history doesnt repeat itself with my other proj.. please..

time passes so quickly that it's october again.. heard from my mom yesterdae that they'll be going to temple today for prayers.. it's my grandpa's death anniversary already according to the lunar calender.. i only remembered the usual calender date which is 12 days away.. shock actually shot through me when i first heard the prayers are tmr.. suddenly the death anniversary seemed closer.. how i wish i can be back home for the prayers.. see the rest of the family too.. everything has changed ever since ye ye is no longer around.. i missed the times when i was in primary sch and he stayed in the same house as my aunt.. saw him everyday.. he got lots of food which i love.. now it's just a memory to keep..

ok.. for the month of october.. how can you not celebrate oktoberfest.. esp in a country where they have festivals of all kinds every other month.. hahaha.. ok.. so according to uncle robert.. for the month of october we are suppose to enjoy german beer, german sausages, pork knuckles, music and for guys, looking at female waitresses with big boobs.. haha.. so the plan was to go today (according to the clock, yesterday).. at the very last min, uncle robert couldnt make it, bixia lazy to go, lumps had to work, the rest didnt want to go.. so left with rina, wanying, sarah and i.. haha..
we met at circular quay and made our way to The Rocks.. the best part was, we didnt know which restaurant.. ha.. so by wandering around, we manage to find a restaurant that had it all.. but the music area was fully booked so we sat somewhere else.. we were all excited about the food but looking at the prices, we really considered hard on what we wanted to eat.. it was expensive.. and the waiter was super pushy, he kept asking us to order more.. in the end the four of us shared 2 main dishes and 500ml of beer.. cause wanying and i dont really drink beer.. haha.. we ordered this beef stew with rice dumpling and mixed sausages.. haha.. the food was really nice.. too bad it was expensive.. and beer was light and easy to drink but i still not a beer fan.. ha.. so of course being me, i wasnt full at the end of the meal so we decided to head to Pancakes on the Rocks for desert.. haha.. the famous pancakes.. we ordered 2 different types of pancakes, chips and margherita bread stuff (which looked liked thin crust pizza).. we were super satisfied about the food after that.. haha.. i'm full.. by the time we finish it was already 9 plus.. we walked down george street from circular quay to town hall.. it was really a nice stroll.. not much people around.. the weather was great.. it was first time for us taking a stroll in the city that late at night especially on a weekday.. most of the time we'll be stuck at home doing our work, surfing the internet.. today was a nice change in schedules.. hee.. the four of us parted ways after some grocery shopping in woollys.. haha.. rina and i missed our train (thanks to me cause i went to the bathroom).. the next train was almost at 11pm at central station.. while we were waiting, a train personnel approached us and asked where we were heading to and told us to go to another platform.. and the train that was leaving that platform was even later.. we only got back auburn at like after 11.30pm.. we walked super fast back.. cause the roads were supposedly unsafe.. haha..
ok think i should sleep soon.. morning lesson tmr.. 3 hrs.. sian.. but i got 2 day week this week.. shiok.. weekend is coming and i going glebe market!!yeah!! more shopping!! lots of stuff happening in october.. dad's birthday, lots of other friends bdae.. and october is also grandpa's death anniversary... wont be able to be home for prayers.. hmmm...

life is always full of choices.. was talking to mummy yesterdae and she asked me what are my plans for my holidays after attachment.. i dont have any, i realise.. none concrete.. so she asked why dont i go back home.. i hesitated.. one part of me was thinking "why not, i've got nothing to do here also".. but then the other part of me dont want to spend the money to go back.. seriously stubborn.. being such a procrastinator and a loser at planning stuff.. i sitting here thinking... as if a holiday plan would fall from the sky.. fat hope melissa k.. actually thinking about it.. 3 months holiday would fly by quickly..
oh my.. what to do during hols??.. bixia say maybe i should convince some friends to come aust for holiday.. ha.. most ppl are studying.. sad.. maybe i should just think about it after exams.. ha..

wanted to post a random note on something.. but cant seem to find the right words to phrase it.. oh well.. it's great to be able to sleep on my bed again.. feels great..
many people have asked me if i feel home sick.. maybe i do.. i'm not sure.. cause after coming here, i've used all that i've got to suppress the feeling.. i dun want to feel all upset being away from home.. i'm in aust for a whole new experience.. i know what it feels like being upset about something for a long time.. i'm finally letting it go.. i think.. i try not to think about home so much, try not to think of the things i miss back home.. just living life here as it is.. enjoying the time i have here.. absorbing as much as i can.. writing another chapter of life as i can..
i think i'm beginning to be thankful for all that i have.. probably i was never appreciative for what i already had last time.. now even simple things and gestures makes me feel really blessed.. just happy to know that something like this can happen to me, in my life..

my trip to melbourne.. a very much needed escape from reality.. a time to spend time with friends.. a time to explore another place on this continent.. just realising how blessed i can be ;)
ok the trip started off with me packing hours before we were leaving.. ha.. we had a 7am flight to melb.. so that means we need to be at the airport by 6.30am.. it takes like an hr to get to the airport.. so we got to leave at 5.30am latest.. waking up and pack the other stuff would mean i have to get up by 4.30am.. and cause i needed to rush work before i leave.. i managed to lie in bed at 12am.. haha.. feeling all so excited about the holiday to come.. waking up at 4.30am was tiring.. with lack of sleep accumulated previously, i was tired.. we decided to grab a cab cause it worked out to cost lesser than taking the train.. haha.. cause there were 4 of us.. great..
at the airport, after customs and stuff, it was just the wait to fly to melb.. haha.. we met boh wee who was travelling on the same flight and was going to take the same flight back too.. haha.. cheapest flight k.. anyway.. we arrived at avalon airport in melb an hr plus later.. it's a faraway airport.. the shuttle bus took 1 hr to get to the city.. oh well.. kinda slept on the way..
our plan for the first day: to explore the city, watch Wicked at night and then head to my friend's hostel (save on transport cost cox their uni is like an hr away from city).. i did a really last min thing.. i sms yaozong to check if my friends and i if we could have a place to put our backpacks for the day.. if not we have to carry our stuff to a musical.. hmmm... luckily, he replied and we got to put our stuff at his apartment for the day.. the drop off point for the shuttle is really near to his apartment.. haha.. wad a surprise.. but felt really bad waking him up from his sleep..haha.. anyway his apartment damn atas.. haha.. it's like super high rise.. super good view.. interior looks great.. only it's kinda small.. haha.. i dun mind having an apartment like that though..
anyway.. after leaving yz's apartment, we went to melb central to meet shixian and hafizah who came to city to meet us.. haha.. we had brunch at the food court.. we were starving.. after that.. they brought us around city, got to see a few sights.. travelled from melb central to yarra river by foot.. then we stopped by crown for cakes.. yum... after that, we went back to yz's place cause bixia forgot to bring her specs for Wicked.. after that we roam the streets at 5 plus trying to find a florist cox we needed to get flowers for eunice.. surprise bdae.. luckily there was one still open.. after that we went chinatown to haf jap food.. not bad .. after dinner, we headed to regent theatre for Wicked.. i haven read the story personally or have any idea on the exact story of Wizard of Oz..but i like the musical lots..the music and songs and everything was great though we were abit far from the stage.. too bad we werent allowed to take shots of the theatre.. it was really nice on the inside..after the 2 hrs plus musical, the group of us headed to yz's place to grab our stuff and head off to la trobe uni.. it was an hr tram ride in which there were many interesting ppl who took it.. some were like drunk.. interesting characters.. but kinda scary though.. finally reached la trobe uni at about 1am.. met up with yuli.. it's been ages since i last spoke to her.. haha.. and her floor mates are unique too.. ok.. after taking shower, and talking and stuff, it was already like 2 plus or 3 plus.. and i had to wake up at 5.30am the next morning to head to city for the Great Ocean Road Tour..
I got up feeling really exhausted.. yuli didnt sleep the whole night.. we walked to the bus stop and met the others.. it was a 50mins bus ride to town.. so early in the morning.. at the city, got some Mac breakfast and sweets from 7-11..the tea kept me up for some time before i fell asleep on the drive there.. it was great to drive along the coast.. the view was great.. haha.. shall let the pictures do the talking the next time i upload it.. got back to city around 7.30pm.. had dinner at lygon st.. supposedly one of the best thai food in melb.. but i think the sydney one is better.. after that we headed back to the hostel so as to talk to the other ppl.. haha.. haven managed to meet up with the rest of them.. at the hostel, steph, jiali, jeremy, bixia, rina, jiemin and i gathered in jiemin's room and talked.. we had ice cream and tim tams.. haha.. we talked till 2 plus before heading to bed..
got up at 9am the next day.. jm brought us around the campus.. looking at the campus, it's different from ours.. more flora and fauna.. and they have lakes around.. cool.. the european hot chocolate is really nice too.. after that.. we headed back to the hostel and we had a gathering in the common kitchen.. the load of us from singapore and some seniors studying in la trobe also came.. it was potluck and the food was great.. nice... after that jm, jl, fizah, bx, rina and i headed to queen victoria market.. it was almost closing.. it's something like paddy's market back in sydney.. they have similar stuff.. got yuli a present from there.. i bought some lollies there too.. haha.. after that we headed to sidney music bowl for the singapore day volunteer briefing.. cox we never been to the place before, we took some time to get there.. we got our tshirt and tags and were briefed on what we had to do the next day.. it was drizzling and the sky didnt look promising the next day.. it started to get cold too.. after the briefing i headed back to city to meet yz.. cause weikhoon was going to meet us for dinner.. haha.. yz and his housemate prepared dinner.. haha.. they were guys.. i seldom eat meals prepared by guys only except on days when my housemate cook here.. that's all.. they prepared fried rice and roasted chicken.. yz made tiramisu too.. haha.. first time tasting dessert made by a guy friend.. was kinda impressed.. haha.. for a person that dont drink coffee.. the tiramisu kinda kept me up on the ride back to the hostel.. haa.. my eyes were like wide open.. haha.. melb was really cold that night.. when i got back to hostel, yuli was still out.. i kinda stone awhile waiting for her to get back.. she got back at 12.30am.. and i was too tired so i lied in the sleeping bag and talked to her for a while.. but after she went to shower, she didnt quite come back.. i somehow doze off while waiting for her.. it was my last night staying over.. but i didnt quite got a chance to talk to her much..
she probably only went to bed at 4 plus 5 cox being a light sleeper, i got woken up.. the next morning i had to catch an earlier bus to the city to put our bags at bx's friend's place cox we gonna spend the night there.. i woke yuli up just before i left... i passed her the stuff i got here and she prepared breakfast for me.. chat a bit more before i had to go to the bus stop.. she passed me something back in return too.. though i stayed over with her for the few nights.. realised i didnt get to spend much time catching up with her.. she's really close with her floor mates.. after putting our stuff at bx's friend's place, we headed to QVM which was close.. we walked around abit more and got the famous donuts.. nice to eat when hot.. haha.. after that we headed to singapore day.. ok it was a great shock to see such a long queue.. and we had to wait really long before we got in.. we got goodie bags and stuff and went to report for duty.. the food was great and it was nice to be able to watch the performance too.. met a couple of ppl too.. haha.. after singapore day, we headed around town and finally went to crown again for cakes.. this time to celebrate steph's upcoming bdae.. haha.. after that, rina, bx and i roamed the streets before heading back to bx's friend place..
we had to leave at about 3am plus to catch the 4 am shuttle bus to avalon airport.. it was no use sleeping cox i might not wake up.. i master all energy to stay awake.. ha.. and the worse part was day light saving started at 2am.. so the time changed from 2am to 3am at that time.. it took us about 15mins just to get to franklin st.. but it was super cold and we were shivering.. waiting out in the cold was no fun at all.. and lumpy forgot the change in timings.. luckily i called him 15mins before the bus left to check on him.. ha.. i slept all the way to the airport and slept all the way in the plane.. arrived back at 7 plus.. we got a cab back and after showering and unpacking, i slept from 9am to 4 plus.. ha.. think my body is totally haywired..
i already missing the time in melb.. dun mind going back and explore.. actually there's so much things in aust to explore.. really happy to meet my friends there.. felt really blessed.. with all the help from everybody.. haha.. got to know some of my friends more too.. didnt know that some of my friends are so nice too.. ha.. thanks :)
