i've been doing stuff for the upcoming bgm.. looking at retro music cox the theme is retro and i'm helping out with one of the games.. then while looking at songs on youtube, i chanced upon this video.. somehow i just stopped and watched the video.. identified a few good singers.. that's probably how it is in the past.. the video somehow portrayed this warmth though it was produced like so long back..

it has been a busy 2 weeks.. after i recovered, went out to meet up with friends and family.. played badminton twice, visited ubin twice.. met up with yec, jc, poly and scout friends.. i am constantly reminded on how lucky i am.. to be surrounded by people i love and who care for me..went to this restaurant at tanglin mall with ms khoo recently, think it's called chillis or something.. it's a pretty nice place with good and large portion food.. yums.. will go back there again.. and their drinks are like free flow.. went to lao beijing yesterdae for their high tea buffet.. but it was a total disappointment.. esp for a restaurant under the tlg.. the deep fried custard buns, hot and sour soup and almond jelly was nice but the rest.. haix.. isnt quite worth mentioning.. esp the xiao long bao and siew mai.. totally horrendous..
last nite i saw on the tv guide that mj's memorial service would be telecast on tv.. there was a sudden excitement in me.. not sure why.. but i was eager to watch it.. but being sick, i didnt want to stay up late to watch it live.. so i got mum to record it.. in the end.. i woke up at 1 plus with a very sore throat and i contemplated turning on the tv.. but i didnt..
i woke up at 5 plus to light coming out of the bathroom and a sms.. i decided to just get up and starting watching the memorial service.. it was simple and touching.. just see the person who u want to remember of. how much deed he has done.. really.. seeing him in a different light.. away from the bad news.. away from what he is not..
songs like 'i'll be there', 'childhood', 'you're not alone' and 'gone too soon' will always remind me of how great a person he ever was.. how much he has left behind.. in the hearts of many.. affected the lives of many.. each song tells a story.. a story so deep u can only hear it if u listen..
the wedding is finally over.. and my cousin no longer carries the same surname as me.. haha.. ok..
i had a crazy week last week.. slept at unearthly hours.. once even at 5am and woke up at 9am.. just because of all the preparations i had to do.. minli even asked me if i was the one getting married.. things i was incharged of.. their growing up video, the emcee script, helping my cousin with her dressing and everything else, buying all the tortue stuff for the 姐妹 and lastly contacting the couple's friends and family to make a surprise video for them.. at the end of the day.. i coordinated part of the prog and i'm happy it all turn out well.. so happy to see my family.. all my nephews and nieces.. such fun to play with them.. when will be the next time where we will meet again?
speaking in front of 600 ppl wasnt easy but i'm glad i manage to pull it off.. probably i was even too tired to feel scare or nervous.. i made my cousin cry with my video.. haha.. so proud of myself..
weirdly enough.. stuff i bought to wear in the evening didnt fit like they did.. the dress was abit loose, the shoes was surprising bigger.. i was totally sian diao.. well at least the dress didnt fall off or i sprain my ankle.. but the necklaces and bracelet that hazel made was really nice.. it caught my other cousin's attention.. hehe..
the only downside to it all is that now.. i am kinda self-quarantined at home.. i developed a fever jus hours after the wedding ended.. and the fever came with a painful throat.. at first i thought it was just due to the lack of sleep and heatedness.. but today i still had fever, a sore throat and headaches and body aches.. and the doc was kinda blur to not know the diagnosis.. so he ask me to not go out until i get well..
so i think with the time at home, i should continue with the packing of my room.. haha.. and hope i get better by sat.. i already had to cancel all my appts for the week.. but i have a 21st bdae party to attend this sat.. which i dun wanna miss..
